Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Sviatoslav Fil handles your information. In short: the app is built to keep your data on your device, and this page lists exactly what — if anything — leaves it.

The following stays on your device. It is never sent to us or to anyone else:

• Your location and saved places (used on your iPhone to work out what is above you)
• Your observing journal, notes and photos you attach
• Personal Horizon skyline profiles you trace with the camera
• Your equipment (binoculars, telescopes) and app settings
• Search history and your Ask SkyMate questions and answers (answered on your iPhone by Apple's on-device model)
• Reminders and alerts you schedule
• Sky data you download (stays on your iPhone and works offline)

Some features rely on third-party services. When you use them, each service receives only what it needs to do its job:

• RevenueCat — Processes SkyMate Pro purchases and restores. Receives no location, journal, horizon, search or observing data.

• Apple WeatherKit — Cloud cover and conditions forecast for your observing place
  Receives: Approximate location (rounded to about 1 km).

• CelesTrak — Public orbital data for the ISS and bright satellites. No personal data is sent.

• NOAA Space Weather Prediction Center — Public aurora and geomagnetic forecasts. No personal data is sent.

• Cloudflare (SkyMate sky data server) — Delivers the sky data list and the packs you choose to download. No personal data is sent.

• Apple Speech Recognition — Turns a spoken Ask SkyMate question into text. On-device when supported, otherwise by Apple.
  Receives: Voice audio of your question (only when on-device recognition is unavailable).

• AppMate — Hosts the SkyMate support form, only when you choose to write to us
  Receives: Name (optional), Email address, and Message text.

Location: the app uses your location (while you're using it) to provide its features. It's processed on your device and not sent to us.

Notifications: reminders are scheduled locally on your device. We don't send push notifications.

The app can access your camera, photo library, and microphone when you use a feature that needs it. What you capture or pick stays on your device unless you choose to share it.

We do not:

• sell or rent your personal data
• show you ads
• track you across other companies' apps or websites
• build advertising or behavioral profiles about you

This app is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.

You can ask us to delete any information associated with you, or ask a question, at contact@fil.technology.
